Frank Bridge (1879\u20131941) gilt heute trotz eher schmalerem \u0152uvre als einer der bedeutendsten Komponisten Englands.<\/p>\n<p>Benjamin Britten, der bedeutendste von allen, war von dessen Musik so begeistert, dass er (ber\u00fchmte) Varia-tionen f\u00fcr Streichorchester \u00fcber ein Thema von Bridge schrieb.
